  • Graduate Studies Application Process

    Here you'll find helpful information about submitting your application to York

    The first step toward earning your master’s degree or professional certificate at York College is to complete our free online application.

    Once you’ve applied, the next step is to connect with our Director of Graduate Admissions, Sueann Robbins, to confirm what additional supporting materials you’ll need to submit with your application. If you are interested in applying to the Master’s of Data Analytics program, MSN program, or the RN to BSN program, you should email onlineadmissions@ycp.edu

    Supporting materials can be submitted online through your application portal (transcripts cannot be submitted through your application portal).

    The following items are typically required to issue an admission decision, however, each program is unique and may require additional documentation.

    • Official Transcripts from all schools attended (not high school) If you are a current or former York College student, we have access to your transcripts. Please do not order them. 
      • Transcripts can be sent electronically through Parchment or Naviance. Should you need to have your institution send us your transcripts directly (not through Parchment or Naviance), the email address for submission of official electronic transcripts is: graduateadmissions@ycp.edu. 
      • Transcripts can be mailed to:

    • A copy of your current resume.
    • An academic goal statement (3 to 4 clear and concise paragraphs detailing why you would like to pursue the graduate program and how it will assist your career goals).
    • Two references. Please only provide your references first name, last name, and email address. Our admissions office will send them an electronic reference form to complete.
    • If you are applying to a Master’s in Science Nursing Program you need to possess an active unencumbered RN license to practice in Pennsylvania, or one of the states in which direct clinical care experience is offered.
    • If you are applying to an Education program that also awards an advanced PDE certificate or endorsement you need to possess a valid and active Pennsylvania Educator Certification.

    RN to BSN Applicants

    Registered nurses who have graduated from an accredited program and meet all requirements are eligible for direct articulation into the RN to BSN program.

    Students must have a valid, unencumbered RN License in the United States to qualify for admission. Nurses awaiting NCLEX results may receive conditional admittance.

  • I’ve been accepted, how do I enroll at York?

    Your final enrollment steps.

    Submit your enrollment deposit. You can pay your enrollment deposit using the portal you created to submit your application. 

    Claim your YCP network account (York College email and password). Your network account will allow you to connect with the York College community. It provides access to the MyYCP portal (how you’ll access your bill and other resources), your YCP email account, and YCPWeb, which is how you’ll accept or decline your financial aid offer (should you apply for student aid) and register for classes. 

    • This short video will walk you through the sections of the MyYCP portal you’ll use the most once you receive your network account credentials.

    Set up an advising appointment with your Faculty Program Director. This appointment will provide you with the additional orientation materials you’ll need to get started in your program. This is also where you’ll receive guidance on making your class schedule. Click the tab above this one to find your Program Director and to schedule an appointment.

    Register for classes online. You will register for classes online through YCPWeb using your YCP network ID.

  • Options for Financial Aid

    Options for Financial Aid

    Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 5 credits per semester (3 credits in summer) to be eligible for federal funding. Graduate students may be eligible for $20,500 in Federal Direct Unsubsidized loans per aid year.

    If you are planning to apply for financial aid, you’ll need to complete the following steps:

    • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application becomes available for the upcoming entry term on October 1, of each year. 
    • Apply using York College’s school code: 003399.
    • The financial aid office will process your aid offer as soon as your FAFSA is submitted (within 3-5 days). You can view your financial aid offer online through YCPWeb at https://ycpweb.ycp.edu using your YCP network account credentials. You will also receive a physical copy in the mail.
    • If you are interested in exploring scholarship opportunities, you can visit www.fastweb.com or www.educationplanner.org
    • Your financial aid offer should list an offer for a Federal Direct Unsubsidized loan. You must inform the Financial Aid Office if you wish to accept or decline the loan offer. To accept or decline your offer::
      • Go to YCPWeb at https://ycpweb.ycp.edu; click on “Enter Secure Area”
      • Enter your YCP email and password (YCP network account)
      • Click on “Financial Aid”
      • Click on “Award” and then “Award for Aid Year”; select the proper aid year
      • Click on the “Accept Award Offer” tab
      • Accept or Decline the loan offer

    • Entrance Counseling: Complete online for both Direct Unsubsidized and PLUS loans at www.studentaid.gov
    • Master Promissory Note: Complete online for both Direct Unsubsidized and PLUS loans at www.studentaid.gov.
