  • Information Session

    Pick a Date for an Information Session and Campus Tour

    We'd love to welcome you to our beautiful College in York, Pennsylvania. Our daily visits consist of an overview of the college from our Admissions Team. A student guide will show you through our amazing facilities and answer questions about student life, sports and activity programs. Personalize your visit by requesting to speak to financial aid, your Admission Counselor, faculty members and athletic coaches. Please note, faculty and athletic coaches are not always available in the summer.

    Admissions Tip: If you think York College is right for you, submit an application before your visit! With no application fee or essay, it's a quick process, and it gives our counselors much more information to help answer your questions when you arrive!

    One of our favorite parts of the year! We see all of our accepted students on campus to celebrate and help you get prepared for life as a Spartan. It's a fun, vibrant day great for you and your family.

    *Note: Events are subject to change as program is finalized

    8:15 Check-in and Refreshments at Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center
    9 a.m. Welcome Session with York College students and officials
    10 a.m. /11 a.m. Freshmen: You'll either start off with Spartan Talks, a classroom experiences led by YCP faculty OR you'll attend a Generation Next overview - the core of our liberal arts approach. Then you'll alternate for the second session. Transfers: You'll start off with Spartan Talks and then attend a session on procedures you need to know, such as credit transfer and scheduling.
    10 a.m./11 a.m.  Parents/Families: You'll get a sample Spartan Talks mock classroom experience, and hear from Student Life about what your student will experience as either a resident or as a commuter student. Then for the second session, you'll have your pick from programs on Leadership Engagement, Money Matters, or current parents.
    Noon You'll be assigned to start with either lunch or the Academic Fair, where you can meet with academic departments. You'll also be able to browse the art gallery, library, and bookstore. The lunch session will then alternate.
    1:30 p.m. Student involvement fair, with dozens of clubs, organizations, and campus departments represented.  We'll also have a special gift for anyone who has made a deposit, either prior to attending or that day! Those students will also be entered into a drawing for a $500 bookstore gift card! Turn in your evaluation of the day, and you'll get a complimentary York College license plate frame!
    Other options We'll have residence hall tours available from 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., and departments may offer tours of individual academic buildings (based on availability). You can also get your student ID photo taken with Campus Safety, talk with Residence Life about housing, and meet with staff from the Business Office and Financial Aid for any payment/scholarship/financial aid issues.

    Visits Just for Our Transfers


    The best way to get to know York College is to visit. Every Tuesday is Transfer Tuesday at York. Come join us for a special day designed especially for transfer students. Get a transfer-centric perspective on admissions, credits, aid and scholarships.  An optional tour of the campus is offered after the Transfer Tuesdays presentation.  We can't wait to see you on campus!

    Get a customized tour

    Schedule a visit that is catered to your specific questions and interests. Contact the Welcome Center to arrange a personalized visit to campus by emailing nasmith@ycp.eduPlease include your potential major and your high school when you contact us!

    Sit in on a class, meet faculty in your major, discuss financial aid options and more. You'll come away having a great sense of what York College can do for you.

    Note: Faculty appointments are not available during the Summer months. Students that want to sit in on a class must make this request at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.

Group Visits

Our Admissions team welcomes members of the community to bring groups to campus for insight into all York College has to offer.
  • We accommodate groups of all sizes for high school students in grades 9-12 and college transfer student groups.
  • The visit consists of a 30-minute presentation by an Admissions Counselor, followed by a 90-minute student-led walking tour of the campus.
  • Our Welcome Center is reserved for Group Visits on Wednesday mornings during the months of September through November and February through May.
  • Group visit requests may be received up to 3 months in advance. Your request must be received 3 weeks prior to the desired visit date.
  • Visit requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Please complete the Group Visit Request Form.


York College is located in York, PA in the heart of the jobs-rich mid-Atlantic. Just 45 minutes from Harrisburg, 1 hour from Baltimore and 2 hours from Washington D.C. For directions, go to Campus Map, click on any building and then click on "Directions"!
