We want you to see what York College does from day one to set students up for success. Our Open House is designed for students who want to learn more about York’s academic programs, student life, campus recreation and athletics, and how to get involved through clubs and organizations.
During Open House you will have the opportunity to:
- Chat with faculty and administration
- Learn about admissions, student life, and financial aid
- Tour Campus
- Learn what it really means to be a York College Spartan
Travel update for the October 26 Open House
Due to a portion Route 30 being closed for construction, as part of the Route 30/Route 222 Interchange Improvement Project, please see the directions below.

EASTBOUND ROUTE 30: The detour will use Route 501 (Lititz Pike) south to Route 222 south to Duke Street to Route 23 east to Route 30.
EASTBOUND ROUTE 30 to NORTHBOUND ROUTE 222: The detour will use Route 272 (Oregon Pike) to Jake Landis Road to Butter Road north to northbound Route 222.
WESTBOUND ROUTE 30: The detour will use Route 222 North to the Route 272 (Oregon Pike) Exit, Butter Road north to Jake Landis Road west to Route 272 south to southbound Route 222 and westbound Route 30.
SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 222 TO EASTBOUND ROUTE 30: The detour use Route 30 West to Route 501 (Lititz Pike) south to Route 222 South to Duke Street to Route 23 East to Route 30.

Here is a sample schedule of what you can expect during your Open House visit. Please note that this is a general overview and not the finalized itinerary.
9 a.m. Registration: Our doors will open at 9 a.m. EST where you will have the opportunity to meet your admission counselor, and enjoy some refreshments before we kick off the event!

9:30 a.m. Welcome: Hear from members of the York College staff where you will gain valuable insight in what it means to be a York College Spartan.

10:00 a.m. Academic Sessions: This is your opportunity to meet with our expert faculty and explore the program that you are most interested in!

11:00 a.m. Financial Aid and Admissions Q&A Admissions Welcome Center • Stop in and chat with our Financial Aid team to ask questions about Financial Aid,

11:00 a.m. Campus Tours: During this time we will also be hosting campus tours. Our Spartan Ambassadors will be happy to show you around campus. Campus tour shuttles are continuously available between the Iosue Student Union and the Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center. |
11:30 a.m. Activities Fair | Schmidt Library Attend our activities fair, where you can meet: Academic Advising, Career Development, Health Services, Study Abroad, and more! |

1:00 p.m. Athletics and Recreation Presentation: Learn all about the Athletic and Campus Recreation opportunities on campus, and how Spartans can stay active during their time at YCP. |
Before you Leave Collect your t-shirt coupon outside of Johnson Dining Hall after you enjoy lunch. You can redeem your coupon at the Spartan Store anytime throughout the event! |
