Admitted transfer students are automatically considered for a merit scholarship of $1,000-$7,000 for up to three years (defined as six full-time, continuous semesters, excluding summers and Study Abroad).

PTK is an international honor society that includes many community college students. The PTK Scholarship award at York College is for up to three years (six full-time, continuous semesters, excluding summers and Study Abroad), toward one undergraduate degree. You'll be automatically considered once you complete your application.

Criteria include:

• Full-time accepted transfer students who transfer to York College as current members of the PTK Honor Society
• Applicant must provide a copy of their current PTK certificate as part of the application process
• A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 is required to renew the scholarship each year for up to three years (six full-time semesters, excluding summers)
• The student must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident to qualify

The HACC Scholarship award at York College is for current HACC students enrolling full-time at YCP. The scholarship is available for up to three years (defined as six full-time semesters, excluding summers and Study Abroad). You'll be automatically considered once you complete your application.

• Applicant must be transferring from HACC as their last college attended
• Applicant must have at least 30 completed credits at HACC
• Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher at HACC at the time of application review
• A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 is required to renew the scholarship each year for up to three years (six full-time, continuous semesters, excluding summers)
• The student must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident to qualify

International applicants who are admitted to York College will be evaluated for a merit scholarship. The international student scholarship ranges from $6,500 and $13,500 per year over four years and is awarded based on the student’s secondary school academic achievement. Recipients will be notified by mid-June.

• Open to first-time full-time resident students seeking F-1 student visa status, applying for an undergraduate degree
• Applicants must qualify for an I-20 certificate of eligibility for F-1 status
• The scholarship award is for eight full-time semesters, toward one undergraduate degree
• Recipients must maintain a cumulative 2.0-grade point average and live in on-campus housing to continue receiving the scholarship

The Impact York program awards $6,000 ($1,500 per year, up to 4 years) to qualified residential students from York County. Impact York engages students in community-based and project-based learning. Through a guided set of experiences, Impact York team members learn to address community needs through leadership training, developing innovation skills, and applying knowledge from their areas of study to real-world challenges.

To qualify for Impact York, you must:

• Enroll at YCP starting in the fall of the same calendar year that you graduate from high school.
• Attend York College as a residential, first-time student.

The Commonwealth of PA employee-dependent tuition discount program provides a guaranteed minimum of $6,000 in institutional aid per year to dependents of Commonwealth of PA employees.

This program is not stackable, meaning if you already receive $6,000 or more in YCP institutional scholarships or grants, you are not eligible for additional funding. If your current institutional aid totals less than $6,000, YCP will bridge the difference to ensure you receive a minimum of $6,000 per year.

Through our partnership with the County of York, county employees and their dependents can access undergraduate scholarships and graduate tuition discounts.

Adhesives Research, Inc., an employer in the region since 1961, partners with York College of Pennsylvania to offer undergraduate and graduate tuition benefits to its employees, their spouses, and dependents.

• Applications can be submitted through the Human Resources department of Adhesives Research.

WellSpan is offering a new education benefit to their team members. Through an enhanced collaboration with York College, the tuition benefit provides incredible opportunities for full and part-time team members and their families.

How do I know if my dependent is eligible?

• The WellSpan employee must be a full-time or benefits-eligible employee who is in active pay status.
• “Dependent” means a qualifying child, stepchild, eligible foster child, grandchild, niece, nephew, sibling, half-sibling, stepsibling, or adopted child of a WellSpan Employee who (i) relies on that WellSpan Employee for financial support, and (ii) satisfies the “Relationship Test” used by the Internal Revenue Service as set forth in Form 886-H-EIC Toolkit. (Students will be eligible until the year they turn 24).
• “Full-time” means an individual enrolled between 12-18 credits a semester at York College in an undergraduate degree program. This does not include the RN to BSN program, or the Accelerated Nursing Program.
• York College will provide a $10,000.00 per year scholarship award for any Dependent student who enrolls as a Full-Time Student living on or off campus. The $10,000 scholarship is a minimum scholarship offer and consists of any existing institutional aid award(s). For example, if a student is receiving a $13,500 Presidential merit award, they would not be eligible. If a student is receiving a $6,000 York College award and $2,000 in YCP grant funding, the student would receive an additional $2,000 per year to meet the minimum scholarship offer.

For full-time and benefits-eligible employees, what benefits are available?

• For undergraduate programs, team members will receive a 50% tuition discount, in addition to our existing $5,250 annual tuition reimbursement benefit. If the student's YCP institutional aid is not at least half of the tuition price, we will make up the difference. This year's tuition is $23,000, or $11,500 a semester. This benefit does not include students who are enrolled in the RN to BSN program, or the Accelerated Nursing Program.
• For graduate programs, team members will be eligible for a 15% tuition discount on top of the same tuition reimbursement of $5,250 annually. This includes the Adult Gerontology, Family Nurse Practitioner, and the Psychiatric Mental health Nurse Practitioner. This does not include certificate programs, or the Nurse Anesthetist Program.

Students applying to our graduate and professional programs may be eligible for tuition discounts provided by our numerous partner organizations.

The Millard E. and Ida G. Gladfelter Fellows Program awards a scholarship to students who are dedicated to pursuing research in history, political science, or related disciplines, who are interested in better understanding our society and the complex problems it faces.

Two incoming students will be admitted to the Gladfelter Fellows program each year. They will both receive $5,000 in both their junior and senior years ($10,000 over two years) as long as they remain in good standing in the program, and will be required to conduct a multi-semester research project in their junior and/or senior years.

The James L. Mohatt Excellence in Music Scholarship is awarded to students with talent in vocal and instrumental music regardless of major. The award amount varies. If you are a music major, you will instead be eligible for the Vincent Risley Scholarship

Yes, some programs, such as our Tuition Exchange Program and Presidential Research Fellowship, offer full-tuition scholarships. Additionally, many of our other scholarships can be stacked, helping many students build an award package that covers nearly full tuition.

Scholarships and grants are considered "gift aid," meaning they do not need to be repaid. When you receive your Financial Aid Award Letter, these funds are applied directly to your account to offset your total cost of attendance.

To determine your out-of-pocket expense, simply subtract the total value of your scholarships and grants from your bill; the remaining balance is the amount you are responsible for covering through other means, such as personal savings, student employment, or loans.

At York College of Pennsylvania, merit scholarships are awarded automatically upon admission. However, you generally must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list YCP’s school code (003399) to allow YCP to put together any need-based scholarship offers.
