Henry D. Schmidt Lecture Series

Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Imagine a night filled with brilliant speakers, thought-provoking video and mind-blowing conversation! This is TEDXYCP!

A TEDX event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community!

TEDXYCP, the latest installment in the Henry D. Schmidt Lecture Series, is an event organized and put on entirely by students! Open to students and the community, the Henry D. Schmidt Lecture Series in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is designed to offer insight into the creative process and drive of the entrepreneur, and to stimulate discussion about the connection between a comprehensive, liberal arts education and entrepreneurship; and to empower (or inspire) our students, alumni and community members to follow their own path towards creativity, innovation and self employment.

The theme of TEDXYCP is “Embracing Student Minds.” Four student speakers will discuss a variety of topics that will engage both the college and the community.

The event is FREE and will be on Friday, April, 20th from 6 - 8 p.m. held in the Perko Theatre of the Waldner Performing Arts Center (WPAC) on the York College campus.
