York College Changemaker Scholarship Programs

Be the change your community needs

A Changemaker at YCP is a student volunteer who partners with local organizations to make a difference. York College Changemaker scholarship programs are selective, multi-year, cohort-based programs that offer an annual scholarship to students who are selected for acceptance into these programs. Changemaker programs promote volunteer engagement, community-engaged learning, leadership development, and civic responsibility.

Changemaker scholarship programs include Eisenhart Community Scholars, Hope Scholars, Impact York, Promise, and YCCOSP. Eisenhart Scholars and Hope Scholars are also part of the York College Honors Community. Promise and YCCOSP are also classified as Student Success Scholarship Programs.

As a Changemaker, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Earn a scholarship that helps to support your education while you support our community.
  • Build connections with community service organizations and leaders.
  • Work together in teams to attain common goals: to serve your community, learn about diverse populations, and to make a difference.
  • Through your work in the community, gain skills and achieve accomplishments that help prepare you for your future.

  • Eisenhart Community Scholars

All incoming first-year students are invited to apply to the Eisenhart Community Scholars program, which is a part of the York College Honors Community! • Hope Scholars

Are you a rising sophomore AND a member of Impact York, Promise, or YCCOSP? If so, you are invited to apply for the Hope Scholars program, which is part of the York College Honors Community!

The Hope Scholars program's focus is equity through education. Hope Scholars support, develop, and lead initiatives that promote educational attainment and success, particularly among k-12 students in the local area. Most Hope Scholars are leaders and mentors in the Generations of Hope program. The Hope Scholars program does not carry a scholarship, but it does provide access to benefits available to all Honors Community students.

  • York College Promise

The York College Promise provides eligible graduates from York County high schools with an opportunity to attend college as part of a cohort of fellow program participants who will live and learn together on campus. Participants receive personalized support with academic advising, work-study job opportunities, and free tuition toward their cost of attendance at York College.

All eligible incoming first-year students are invited to apply! Read more about eligibility requirements here.

  • YCCOSP
