Groove Ensemble

Percussion ensemble with a twist

The Groove Ensemble performs eclectic repertoire from around the world, and its recent concerts have included arrangements of Indonesian and African music, along with pieces by Steve Reich, Bob Marley, Jeff Beck and Led Zeppelin.

The ensemble's instrumentation is similarly eclectic, encompassing all sorts of percussive objects — not only drums and mallet instruments, but also silverware, buckets, and the human body. Groove rehearses every Tuesday and Thursday from 2 - 3:15 p.m. in Wolf Hall, Room 114.
