We asked our York College Instagram audience, "What's your favorite YCP memory?"

The Class of December 2020 is graduating this week, and the entire Spartan community will celebrate them at Virtual Commencement on Sunday, December 6 at 3 p.m. Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, this group of students has had a senior year like no other, but that doesn’t mean their college experience wasn’t one for the books!

As we prepare for the pomp and circumstance of the Class of 2020’s big day, we posed a simple question to @YorkCollegePA’s Instagram Stories audience: What is your favorite YCP memory? We heard from this semester’s graduates, YCP alumni, and even a future Spartan—and in many ways, their answers told the story of our Spartan family.

It's about that spark of campus life... as a Spartan.

Some students and alumni shared favorite memories that centered on the activities they participated in during their time at York College.

It's about the BIG life-changing moments... as a Spartan.

Some submissions came from students and alums who experienced defining moments of their lives right here at York College. One submission even came from a future Spartan, whose journey is just beginning!

But mostly, it's the little things... as a Spartan.

The big moments are wonderful, and everyone loves to celebrate them—but if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that the little things leave the biggest mark on our hearts. And it’s clear that these day-to-day happenings stand out for many of our graduating students and alumni, as well.

No matter which memories stand out most for you, all Spartans know that the years spent at York College of Pennsylvania are special. So every once in a while, take a moment to notice everything around you—the people, the activities, the classes, the food, the campus—and paint a mental picture. The things that seem commonplace today might just be the building blocks of your favorite memories in the future.
