York College of Pennsylvania Names Jennifer Geubtner-May Director of Lifelong Learning Program

YORK, Pa. — York College of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Geubtner-May, Ed.D, as director of the College’s new lifelong learning program, a community-focused initiative designed to expand educational, cultural, and social opportunities for older adults throughout York County. Registration for members opens in May 2026.
Housed within the York College Center for Community Engagement, the program reflects the College’s long-standing commitment to service and educational access in the York community. In her role, Geubtner-May will lead program development, community partnerships, and member engagement, working closely with campus and community stakeholders to shape a thriving, inclusive program.
“Jen’s connection to York County and her passion for bringing people together through learning align seamlessly with York College’s mission to serve and strengthen our community,” York College President Thomas Burns, Ph.D. said. “Her leadership embodies our belief that education is a lifelong pursuit and our role is to be an active, engaged partner in the lives of the people we serve. We are excited for what Jen and her team will accomplish for our community.”
Geubtner-May brings a strong understanding of York County and a collaborative, community-centered approach to her new role. Under her leadership, the lifelong learning program will offer noncredit courses year-round, educational programming, cultural enrichment experiences, travel opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.
“This program is about discovery, connection, and purpose,” Geubtner-May said. “York College has a powerful tradition of service and community engagement, and I am honored to help lead an initiative that invites mature adults to continue learning, sharing their experiences, and staying deeply connected to the community they call home.”
The lifelong learning initiative is supported in part through partnership with the York County Community Foundation as part of its Embracing Aging Initiative, which promotes vitality, inclusion, and quality of life for older adults across the county.
