York College of PA hires employer relations professional in Career Development Center

York College has hired Jamie Guilford of York as Associate Director of Employer Relations within its Career Development Center. She will focus on strengthening communication and partnerships across campus, as well as expanding employer relationships, experiential education, and full-time post-graduation opportunities for students of all academic programs. Guilford will also support students through programming and appointments to enhance their career readiness and prepare them for their career journey.

“We are excited to have a professional dedicated to building and expanding the many partnerships that already exist between campus departments and employers,” said Beverly Evans, Assistant Dean for Career Development, “and bringing that industry knowledge and workplace exposure to students as we develop and strengthen their career readiness.”

Guilford most recently served in a similar role at Gettysburg College’s Center for Career Engagement and brings 14 years of experience in employer relations and career education from previous positions at the University of Colorado Denver Career Center and the King’s College (Wilkes-Barre, PA) Office of Career Planning. Her background includes working with academic, alumni, and student development professionals throughout campus to enrich the student experience. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Susquehanna University and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
