York College of PA Theatre to present wartime comedy ‘Into the Breeches!’ on March 21-23

York College of Pennsylvania’s Theatre program will present “Into the Breeches!”, a wartime comedy about a group of determined ladies who stage an all-female version of Shakespeare’s “Henriad,” at 7 p.m., March 21-23, in the Waldner Performing Art Center’s Perko Playpen Theatre. The event is open to the public free of charge. General admission seats may be reserved on eventbrite.

 It’s 1942, and with the men all fighting overseas, how will the Oberon Theater stage its yearly Shakespearean play? Determined to press on, the director’s wife sets out to produce an all-female version of “Henriad,” assembling an increasingly unexpected team united in desire, if not actual theater experience.
