Handshake

Handshake is your gateway to career success. It’s more than a job platform—it’s your central hub for scheduling appointments and accessing all our career services, including personalized career advising, resume and cover letter reviews, interview coaching, resources from our career team, workshops, and events. Log in today to explore everything we have to offer.

Internships

Real-world experience sets a resume apart. We offer structured pathways to earn academic credit while working in your chosen field. Traditional internships earn academic credits, and take place during a standard academic term and earn credits. Or, explore micro-internships: short-term, paid, highly flexible project work available year-round.

Career Expo and Networking

Among our recruitment and networking events, our Career Expo each semester allows you to connect directly with a wide range of industries, learn about different internships and careers, and gain exposure to employers. Employers may also hire for open job positions and foster relationships with YCP students, providing you with ample opportunities to land interviews, jobs, or internships in the future.

Integration With Curriculum

Career preparation is woven directly into your academic experience through strong faculty collaboration. We ensure every student is prepared: 100% of first-year students engage with the Career Development Center through their First Year Seminar, which includes specialized class presentations, career guidance, self-assessments, and a signature career-related assignment focused on self-reflection.

Resources for Employers

Partner with YCP for talent acquisition — we make recruiting our stellar students and alumni simple and effective. In the 2025-2026 school year, over 1800 brilliant YCP students attended our Career Expo. Fulfill your hiring needs and connect with highly motivated talent for short- or long-term engagement by posting positions on Handshake for free, tabling in high-traffic areas,  or participating in or advertising your own recruiting events.

Resources for Parents

We equip you to help your student navigate career choices and achieve success both in their first job and through their professional advancement. Our best advice to you is to encourage your student to connect with us as early as possible. We recommend you review resources from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) such as A Parent’s Guide to Career Development and a Career Planning Course for Parents.
