York College of Pennsylvania and Lighthouse Learning, a leading Early Childhood and K-12 Education Group in Mumbai, India, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a three-year partnership aimed at enhancing students’ educational experiences, higher education pathways, and scholarship opportunities.

Through this partnership, students affiliated with Lighthouse Learning will benefit from annual interdisciplinary learning workshops facilitated by York College faculty. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to compete for scholarships and explore the array of programs available at the College. This hands-on and immersive approach to education aligns perfectly with Lighthouse Learning's mission to foster personal development in students and help them develop the skills to thrive in the future global economy.

“This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to student success, as it opens new possibilities for students,” said Prajodh Rajan, co-founder and group CEO of Lighthouse Learning. “By offering access to diverse learning experiences and an array of scholarships, we are not only reshaping the educational landscape but also providing our students with the tools to unlock their full potential. Together with York College, we are committed to forging a new frontier in education for our students and shaping the trajectory of their futures.”

As outlined in the MOU, students who complete a minimum of two academic years at secondary schools operated by Lighthouse Learning will be eligible to apply for a guaranteed $9,000 merit scholarship per academic year throughout their four-year program at York College. In addition, these students will also have the opportunity to apply for non-guaranteed, competitive-based scholarships offered by the College.

“We are honored to extend our hand in partnership with a renowned institution such as Lighthouse Learning,” said Dr. Thomas Burns, president of York College. “We are not just providing learning opportunities, we are investing in the future of the world, transforming lives, and building a legacy of excellence. Through this collaboration, we aim to empower young minds with the transformative gift of education and opportunity. We look forward to the positive impact that this partnership will have on student's academic success, their learning journey, and their overall development as global future leaders.”
