Cultural Series

York College’s Cultural Series offers a variety of events throughout the academic year: thought-provoking discussions, lovely musical performances, entertaining theatre productions, intriguing creative expressions, and more.

Events are categorized as Art, Music, Film, Theatre, Sustainability, and Special Events. Select your area of interest below for a full schedule of Cultural Series offerings at the College in that genre. All events (unless otherwise indicated) are free and open to the public.

2023-24 Cultural Series events include: an art exhibit by first-generation students; a guest recital by pianists who teach at Peabody Conservatory; a documentary that chronicles a Prakriti Dance production, accompanied by a demonstration of Bharatanatyam dance; a musical theatre production with live orchestra; several artist talks; and a look at anatomy in Nazi Germany and its relevance for medicine today.

A collage of four pieces of artwork shows mixed media, a painting of abstracted tropical leaves, abstract geometric painting, and a carving of a monster-like creature.
