How Corporate Matching Works
Check if your employer matches charitable gifts. Use the Matching Gift Search below or contact your HR office.
Complete your company's form. Many companies use online portals for matching requests.
Submit the form with your gift. Provide the form or portal confirmation to York College's Office of Annual Giving.
YCP will confirm and process the match. You will receive recognition credit for your gift and the matched amount.
Frequently Asked Questions
When you make a gift to York College, your employer makes a gift in your name as well. For example, if you make a gift of $250 to YCP, your employer may contribute a corresponding gift ranging from $250 to $500, depending on your company's matching policy.
As a donor, you will be credited with the total contribution, including the corporate match. Not only does the size of your gift increase, but the matching portion of your gift could make you eligible for membership in the Founder's Circle. For example, a gift of $500 that is matched dollar for dollar by a donor's company will increase the gift to the $1,000 necessary for Founder's Circle membership.
The timing varies by company. Most matches arrive within several weeks once the employer receives verification from York College.
