York College of Pennsylvania’s Division of Enrollment has named Rebecca P. Shineman as the new Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications.
Since 2018, Shineman has helped build the College’s institutional marketing strategy. Having more than 15 years of marketing experience, she worked in various corporate roles before transitioning to higher education, bringing insights into leading campaigns and strategies that promote collaboration between academic and administrative teams.
“I have the privilege of leading an integrated effort that unites our marketing and communications functions,” Shineman said. “This allows our team to align everything we do — from enrollment marketing and brand strategy to advancement support, media relations, and our reputation within the surrounding community.”
Shineman graduated from Boston College and received her Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership and Management from York College of Pennsylvania.
She has also been acknowledged for outstanding leadership, being named the 2026 Professional Service and Leadership Award recipient for demonstrating exceptional vision, service, and leadership in support of the College community.
