York College of PA names 2023 grad Julianna Orkin as Coordinator of Jewish Student Life

York College of Pennsylvania has named Julianna Orkin, a May 2023 graduate from West Islip, NY, as Coordinator of Jewish Student Life. She will begin her duties on August 1.

Orkin was selected as a Doris and Bernard Gordon Leadership Scholar when she enrolled. The Gordon Scholars program is a four-year Jewish leadership scholarship opportunity in the York College Honors Community that works to strengthen students' leadership skills, helping them to acquire Jewish language and thought to frame their understanding of leadership. Gordon Scholars serve as active members of Hillel and leaders of Jewish student life during their time at York College.

Orkin served as president of Hillel and as a Campus Media and Digital Outreach Intern for the College’s Marketing Department. Orkin is graduating magna cum laude with majors in Mass Communications and in Professional Writing.
