Meet Jacob Moore

Jacob Moore is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at York College of Pennsylvania. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering Education from Virginia Tech in 2013, and spent 13 years as an engineering faculty member at Penn State Mont Alto before coming to York.

Dr. Moore’s research revolves around a variety of engineering education topics including open educational resources, student assessment techniques, student motivation, and novel pedagogical strategies. He is also the primary author for the Mechanics Map, an open textbook for engineering statics and dynamics. Outside of his educational research, Dr. Moore also has interests in additive manufacturing technologies.
