Highlighted by a dynamic faculty, state-of-the art facilities and four career-focused majors, Music at YCP is entering a new era of excitement and change.

Perform alongside accomplished faculty. Receive one-on-one instruction. Showcase your talents in one of many student recitals, or work on the student record company. It’s the kind of hands-on, personalized music education that helps you flourish as an artist.

We provide music students with a unique combination of performance opportunities, experiential learning, and academic studies within the liberal arts tradition that gives you a well-rounded background. Our goal is to prepare students for successful careers in the music world. Preparation starts from day one, as you’ll get advanced instruction, intensive coaching, and the opportunity to perform in numerous recitals and concerts. Our selective program requires an application and live audition. It’s your first step to pursuing your dreams of a career in music.

On the Town

On The Town is an energetic 1940’s era musical about three sailors on shore leave in New York City. This show features thrilling music by Leonard Bernstein with a hilarious story by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. A lot can happen in 24 hours in the big city, and this production is filled with adventure, romance, laughter, and a spectacular jazz-inspired score.
