What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Being a mom— my husband, Ben (also a YCP alum!) and I have 3 amazing children. Our eldest two were born during my residency training.

How did York College help you get to where you are today?

I really learned how to study during my time at York College. This skill was invaluable in getting through medical school. I also spent time as a tutor at the LRC at York College. This helped foster my love for teaching. I now teach residents in my role as faculty for the family medicine residency program.

What was your favorite class/professor at York College and how did it/they impact you?

Animal physiology with Dr. Rehnberg. Dr. Rehnberg is super smart and passionate about what he teaches. His class made learning about physiology really fascinating. Physiology is key to understanding medicine, so the foundation for this topic was important in my career!

What do you enjoy the most about your chosen career?

I enjoy being able to help others (patients and their families and the residents I get to teach).
