Dance (Minor)

Students don’t have put away their dancing shoes when they enroll in college. There are many ways to stay active in dance on campus including YCP’s new Dance Minor. From Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes taught through the Physical Activity and Wellness (PAW) program to Acting, Dance History and Choreography taught through the Theatre program, this minor keeps you moving while giving you the chance to stretch your artistic and creative muscles.

From guest artists like Hood Nation and Raphael Xavier to our own faculty of dancers and choreographers, YCP students have the opportunity to train with professionals in the field while also choreographing in theatre productions throughout the year. This 18-credit minor is the perfect complement to any major and will allow the student who joins one of our many student clubs like Dance Excel, Step Dance and Dance Club to continue to push the boundaries of their expressive technique.
