We have ongoing enrollment available if you'd like to apply through regular decision. We'll begin notifying students of their status starting in December. Regular decision is available to any applicant, although some may prefer the advantages of early decision.
Already know York College is where you want to be? Apply now as an Early Decision applicant for Fall 2018 and kick-start your future sooner (See below for more about Early Decision). To be considered, you must be a first time freshman and apply as Early Decision by November 1st, 2017. Students accepted through early decision are first in line for financial aid, housing, and registering for classes, and have the best chance to avoid wait lists for competitive majors with capped seating, such as those in nursing or engineering.
What is Early Decision?
Early Decision gives first-time freshmen a chance to secure enrollment at York College of Pennsylvania before Regular Decision enrollment begins for the academic year.
Which majors are considered for Early Decision?
Early Decision is a competitive advantage for all York College programs and majors. You’ll be at the front of the line for enrollment consideration and financial aid awards. There are certain majors that are competitive or have limited seating, and applicants interested in these programs will benefit the most by applying Early Decision:
- Nursing*: Both the 4-year and 4.5-year program
- Engineering: Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering*.
- Health Professions: Medical Laboratory Science, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Pre-Med, Radiography* and Respiratory Care*.
(*)These programs are competitive and can only accept a fixed number of students.

How can I apply to York College through Early Decision?
Your journey as a Spartan begins when you apply and the good news is that it’s easy. Early Decision enrollment can be selected as an option on our application for fall semester enrollment, whether you complete it online at admissions.ycp.edu/apply or on a printed application. We’ll also need a copy of your transcripts, SAT or ACT test scores, and any other supporting documents for your application like letters of recommendation. The Early Decision application deadline is November 1. After careful consideration, decision letters are sent to applicants shortly. Just follow these steps:
Apply to York College through Early Decision enrollment before November 1
Accept York College’s Early Decision offer by signing and returning the agreement form included with your acceptance letter
Take a deep breath and exhale excitedly because your college application process is finally over
