Spartans Place 259 Student-Athletes on MAC Academic Honor Roll

The York College athletic department placed a combined 259 Spartan student-athletes on the 2022-23 Middle Atlantic Conference Winter and Spring Sports Academic Honor Roll as announced recently by the league office.

The winter and spring academic honor rolls are comprised of student-athletes who compete on a varsity winter and/or spring sport with a spring term GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. The Spartans had 51 student-athletes earn a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2023 semester.

For the year, the Spartans placed 353 student-athletes on the MAC Academic Honor Roll. The fall saw 94 players earn honors after their 2022 campaigns.

Overall, the Spartan athletic department had another banner season as the department had a cumulative GPA of 3.40 for their 447 student-athletes. York had 40 Spartans earn a 4.0 GPA over the course of the 2022-23 academic year.

York had 55% of their total student-athletes earn a 3.50 GPA or above. Each Spartan athletic program achieved a 3.0 GPA or above for the year. The MAC had a total of 3,822 student-athletes were recognized while 664 earned perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2023 spring semester.
