Academic Coaching
Make an appointment with an Academic Coach to learn how you can create strategies to successfully navigate your academic and personal success. Look at how you are spending your time, discuss what your priorities are, and work to master effective study habits. During a consultation, create a plan and then stay in touch with your Coach for support in these areas:
- Time management - develop a master schedule to have time for school, sleep, and me time
- Study strategies - learn a variety of study strategies for each course
- Note-taking - turn your notes into critical thinking study materials
- Test anxiety - be adequately prepared to avoid anxiety
- Test-taking strategies - prepare for exams based on test format
- Reading comprehension strategies - practice understanding and retaining information
- Textbook reading - use your textbook strategically
