York College’s Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) graduate program, which prepares students to take on leadership and problem-solving roles within organizations that will develop and administer public policies for the 21st century, will offer a tuition discount to employees of local, state, and federal agencies beginning in Fall 2020.
Designed with working professionals in mind, the MPPA is offered on a full-time or part-time basis. All Core Courses and the majority of the program electives are offered at night to allow for a full-time work schedule.
York College's MPPA program provides a fresh approach to public policy and public administration studies that combines a student’s past work with the theoretical framework and practical experiences that will ensure they are able to succeed.
By educating students on the methods, techniques, and strategies within public policy and public administration studies, York College MPPA students will better understand the policy challenges and administrative problems facing their organizations or communities, and be able to develop appropriate and applicable solutions in response.
In addition, a new five-credit certificate program in Urban Planning has been created. All courses in the certificate program can also be applied toward completion of the MPPA degree.
