York College musical groups to present ‘Choral Masterworks’ at St. Paul’s on April 9
The York College Chorale, Chamber Singers and Orchestra will perform the Fauré “Requiem” and selections by Handel and Mozart at 3 p.m., April 9, in the inspiring sanctuary of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 25 W. Springettsbury Ave., York. The event, “Choral Masterworks,” is open to the public free of charge.
One of the most performed and beloved choral works, Faure’s “Requiem” will feature the Chorale, faculty and student soloists, the organ, and an orchestra. The Chamber Singers will be featured in Mozart’s “Regina Coeli” and “Laudate Dominumn” with student soloist, Reva Thompson, a senior music major from Bowie, Md. Victor Fields will be featured on the St. Paul organ, and the concert will be conducted by Prof. Grace Muzzo.
