York College of Pennsylvania has been named a 2019-20 College of Distinction, recognizing the College’s focus on four distinctions -- engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities, successful outcomes -- that are the fundamental elements of an effective undergraduate education.

College of Distinction was founded in 2000 as an online resource to help students, parents and guidance counselors navigate the college selection process. Its nearly 400 member institutions are nominated by school guidance counselors, college administrators, and the Colleges of Distinction selection team, and are recognized after a process of extensive research and interviewing.

According to York College’s profile, it is a great fit for students who don’t believe a private education needs to come with a big price tag, but who nevertheless have big dreams that are made a reality through truly personalized attention.
