The York College men's basketball team received more good news this week as seniors Dalton Myers and Blayde Reich have been named to the 2018 Bevo Francis Award Top 100 Watch List.

The award is presented by Small College Basketball and the watch list for the Bevo Francis Award of 2018 consists of 100 of the finest men's basketball players in the country who compete in the affiliations of NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I, NAIA Division II, USCAA and NCCAA.

"The Bevo Francis Award has quickly become the most prestigious award for collegiate players at the small college levels, and this Watch List and award has now drawn a great deal of attention, said Small College Basketball founder John McCarthy. "We've received a tremendous amount of information, and we've done a great deal of research. Ultimately, selecting 100 players from 1,100 - 1,200 schools is extremely challenging. Our committee did a tremendous amount of research, and we tried to focus on the criteria for the Bevo Francis Award."

Myers and Reich have powered the Spartans to a record of 15-0 overall as York is ranked 4th in the most recent d3hoops.com national poll. The 15 straight wins is a school record, breaking the previous mark of 14 set during the 2004-05 season.

Reich is leading the team in scoring and rebounding as the forward is averaging 18.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Reich is shooting 54.8% from the floor, 32% from three and 70.6% from the free throw line. He has dished out 24 assists, blocked 12 shots and picked off 13 steals in his 15 games. Reich is the second leading scorer in the Capital Athletic Conference while he is the third best rebounder in the league. Reich is sixth in the CAC in field goal percentage and is tied for fourth in the league in free throws made.

Reich was a second-team All-CAC selection last season. Reich needs 53 more points to become the 24th member of the 1,000 career point club at York. He had a career game in the overtime win over Washington & Lee as he had 44 points and 19 rebounds. The 44 points were three points short of tying the school record of 47 while the rebounds were three short of the school record of 22.

Myers is York's second leading scorer as he is contributing 18.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He is shooting 56.4% from the floor, 44.4% from three and 79.7% from the free throw line. He has blocked a team-high 15 shots and dished out 30 assists in his 15 games. Myers is third in the CAC in scoring, fifth in field goal percentage, third in three-point field goal percentage, fifth in free throw percentage, seventh in made field goals per game, and fourth in made field goals.

Myers is 13th on the all-time scoring list with 1,284 career points while he is 14th on the field goals made list (483), 11th in career field goal percentage (.538), 12th in made free throws (260), and third in career blocked shots (84). Myers was a first-team All-CAC selection in 2015-16 and is coming back after being limited to eight games last season due to injury.

The Spartans return to action on Wednesday night when they head to St. Mary's College to face the Seahawks in CAC action. Tip time in St. Mary's City is set for 6:00 pm.
