From the Desk of the President: Thank You, Veterans!

Veterans Day is a special time at York College as we pause to honor the more than 44 million women and men who have served in the United States Armed Forces, and celebrate the extraordinary contributions our military plays in keeping our great nation free and safe. Our campus community is home to many of these special individuals who have served our country - including student-veterans, faculty, staff, and alumni. I want to thank each one of them - not only for their service and commitment to the country, but also for enriching our campus culture through their military experience, patriotism, character, and commitment to others. 

On this day, and especially in these historically uncertain times, these American heroes remind us that service and sacrifice are required to protect our way of life today and for future generations to come. We can all learn from their example as we are all asked to make small sacrifices on behalf of the greater good so that our great nation can continue to prosper.
