York College to present family-friendly 'Alice in Wonderland' on Dec. 7
York College's theatre program will present "Alice in Wonderland," a family- friendly production perfect for the holidays, at 10 a.m., Dec. 7, in the Waldner Performing Arts Center. Tickets are free and general admission reservations can be made at www.ycp.edu/theatre or by calling the box office at 717.600.3868.
This 45-minute version of the famous story was adapted by York College theatre professor Suzanne Delle and is geared toward young children. While York College has offered this show for the past two years, this year’s version has new scenes, a new setting, new dances, and new actors. Following a young Alice, played by freshman theatre minor Grace Nicosia from Burlington, N.J., the audience will be taken on the journey to Wonderland as it is spun by Charles Dodgson, played by freshman theatre major Ben Cloud from Middletown, Del.
Kelsey Snively is directing "Alice in Wonderland" as her senior capstone. She both performed as the Mad Hatter in the 2017 version and choreographed the production in both 2017 and 2018. Snively spent the summer at Idaho Shakespeare Company as a carpenter and is a supervisor in York College’s shop.
