York College Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy to host panel discussion of role of media in policy, political processes
A panel will discuss the role of the media in policy and political processes at 7 p.m., Nov. 28, at the York College Center for Community Engagement, 59 E. Market St., York. The event, co-sponsored by the Arthur J. Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy at York College and the York Daily Record, is open to the public free of charge.
The discussion will also focus on how newsroom decisions are made, and how to be a critical media consumer. Vincent Cannizzaro, Glatfelter Public Policy Fellow and visiting instructor in the York College Department of History and Political Science, will moderate the discussion. Panelists include Nick Anspach, assistant professor of political science at York College; Randy Parker, news director at the York Daily Record; Tim Lambert, multimedia news director at WITF; Gary Sutton, host of “The Gary Sutton Show” on WSBA radio; and Ron Martin, anchor at WGAL.
