York College’s annual Humanities Film Series will open with a screening of “L.A. 2017,” a film about a publisher who is transported to a futuristic Los Angeles where people suffer under fascist rule and live underground to escape widespread pollution, at 7 p.m., Sept. 14, in Waldner Performing Arts Center. The event is open to the public free of charge.
