York College of Pennsylvania President, Dr. Pamela Gunter-Smith, has announced her intent to retire in June 2023.

York College of Pennsylvania will mark Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States, with a talk by Todd Allen, vice president of diversity affairs at Messiah University. “Freedom Is a Constant Struggle” will begin at 3:30 p.m., June 21, in Waldner Performing Arts Center.

Kaitlin Dannenberg of Mechanicsburg, a sophomore environmental horticulture major at York College, is the most recent recipient of funding from the College’s Weinstock Student Venture Investment Fund.

A group of York College students, their professor David Fyfe (Associate Professor of Geography and Director of Global Learning), two alumni, and President Pamela Gunter-Smith and her husband, JL, are currently traveling in Morocco as part of a summer class titled “Cultures and Environments Field Series.”
