It was not in my original plan to come straight to a four year school. I'm not gonna lie. I found out I was accepted two days before I came to an open house and honestly, just a lot of fun. And I automatically felt at home here. It's just something with the campus. I really liked it and enjoy it. And my tour guide actually made me feel like I was just a Spartan that day. A Graham School of Business does a great job with that. And the students feel it. When students attend the Graham School of Business, they become a member of the Graham family. It's a wonderful institution, wonderful culture, I think that we are very, very student centered. Because we have small class sizes. We are able to connect with the students work with the students closely and help them be successful. The professors actually kind of know who you are. I've really seen that, that is one of the main things that I enjoy. Pretty much, if you showed me a name of a student in cybersecurity, I could tell you some anecdote about them, and I really like that. York College of Pennsylvania is a community, a group of dedicated, committed individuals sharing a common vision to provide a very high quality education. I think that's a unique mission, unique core value, which separates differentiates us from other institutions. I think as an educational institution, we have a responsibility to give the education that will make the students successful. Not just professionally or academically, but as a overall person. At York, we enjoy collaborating with one another to enrich the students experience, getting content that they're doing in one class to connect to content they're doing in another class so that we can get them to see the whole big picture. So the Graham business school is not a bunch of departments so much as it's it's a it is liberal arts. Our business strategy class and our integrated business experience seek to have students look at a holistic view of business. And so if we're able to have students from a wide variety of majors work together, those projects are often most successful. Next semester, I'm actually taking a communications class, video production and audio production. So I think that will tailor towards where marketing and like the whole social media aspect is going in general. So I think that'll help me build some more skills. Most of our graduate students work in business in some capacity, but based on the business base in the city of York, we also have a number of engineers, health professionals who go through our programs as well. And so this gives our students an opportunity to learn from each other. We have a student managed fund also, and that student managed fund is open to all students across campus. The takeaway for them is great. When they go talk to a prospective employer, one of the questions they get invariably is what did you do in the fund? It gives them a platform to to talk more and more about their experiential learning. One of my classes in the winter had a guest speaker every class and we talked with some high up people. That was amazing. They teach us about the industry that we may not know. We have to do summer work experiences. You get a job into something that you could like, and if you don't like it, then you learn from it and you're able to say, Alright, well now I know that I don't want to do what I just did. It offers you the opportunity to say, Oh, I know what this is because I learned it in school. In a program, you have to be teaching skills. Not answers. Because any answer that I teach in cybersecurity today is going to be irrelevant six months from now at best, and two weeks from now at worst. Or maybe tomorrow at worst. And so that's something very unique about the York program. Is that we were thinking about where the industry is going, what the actual needs are, how the strategy piece plays out, and we've been educating our students to fill that role. A lot of people see business as something so common. I will say that it's not as common as people think it is and it's not as easy as people think it is. But I didn't mind if it was hard, I was like, I want to learn more. How do you do this? How do you do this? This is where I want to be. If business is a part of your thoughts. Definitely give it a try. And I'm pretty sure that with the staff here and the classes that we offer, I'm pretty sure they're definitely going to love it.
