Acting Showcase

Thanks to a generous Great to Greater grant from awarded to the Theatre program by the President of York College, interested theatre majors from the graduating years 2018, 2019 & 2020 are spending a week in New York City culminating in an acting showcase for industry agents and managers.

What will the students do during their time in the big city?

  • Attend dance and vocal classes with members of the HAMILTON cast and crew before seeing a Broadway performance of HAMILTON.
  • Train in Suzuki and Viewpoints techniques with the SITI Company
  • Attend BURN THIS starring Adam Driver & Keri Russell
  • Discuss directing new work with May Adrales, the Assoc Artistic Director of Milwaukee Rep
  • Spend a day at the NY Performing Arts Library at Lincoln Center
  • Take a backstage tour of the Public Theatre and see Daveed Diggs in the new Suzan-Lori Parks’ play WHITE NOISE
