York Summer Music Academy

Join us from June 19-24, 2023

The York Summer Music Academy is a collaborative event, sponsored by York College of Pennsylvania and the York Symphony Orchestra. It is a high school instrumental experience designed to complement the school music experiences of students in the greater York county region.

Early-Bird Tuition (available through May 15): $450 - lunch included

Regular Tuition: $495 - lunch included

Academy instructors are members of the York Symphony and/or the York College music faculty.

    As a participant in the York Summer Music Academy, your schedule will be filled with informative and enjoyable learning opportunities related to your area of interest. An example of a possible schedule is below.

    • 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. — Rehearsals 
    • 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. — Chorus
    • 10:30 - 11:15 a.m. — Musicianship Elective 1
    • 11:15 a.m. - 12 p.m. — Studio Classes
    • 12 - 1 p.m. — Lunch (Provided)
    • 1 -2 p.m. — Sectionals, Faculty Recital, Student Recitals
    • 2 - 2:45 p.m. — Musicianship Elective 2
    • 2:45 - 3:30 p.m. — Musicianship Elective 3
    • 3:30 - 5 p.m. — Rehearsals
