Music at York College

Highlighted by a dynamic faculty, state-of-the art facilities and four career-focused majors, Music at YCP is entering a new era of excitement and change.

Perform alongside accomplished faculty. Receive one-on-one instruction. Showcase your talents in one of many student recitals, or work on the student record company. It’s the kind of hands-on, personalized music education that helps you flourish as an artist.

We provide music students with a unique combination of performance opportunities, experiential learning, and academic studies within the liberal arts tradition that gives you a well-rounded background. Our goal is to prepare students for successful careers in the music world. Preparation starts from day one, as you’ll get advanced instruction, intensive coaching, and the opportunity to perform in numerous recitals and concerts. Our selective program requires an application and live audition. It’s your first step to pursuing your dreams of a career in music.

Seussical is a fantastical musical that brings to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters who transport us from the Jungle of Nool to McElligot’s Pool to the Circus McGurkus in a magical pursuit of the invisible world of the Whos. The power of friendship and imagination carry us through this fabulous family-friendly musical adventure.

Seussical is a family-friendly G-rated production. Running time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes with one 15-minute intermission.

Tickets are free with general admission seating. Reservations are required and may be selected for each performance below:
