R.N. to B.S.N.
There are great reasons to consider going back to school now for a BS degree in Nursing. The Institute of Medicine has recommended that 80% of nurses have Bachelor’s Degrees by the year 2020, plus studies have demonstrated that patients cared for nurses with BS degrees or higher have better outcomes.
If you still haven’t taken that first step, we invite you to explore the RN-BSN program at York College of PA and take your career to the next level. We plan to offer this program online starting in Fall 2019, pending approval by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The YCP program is designed to build on your current nursing knowledge and experience. You receive 51 automatic credits for having a current RN license regardless of what nursing school you attended to get your RN degree. Depending on previous credits, you could earn your BSN degree in nursing at YCP in as little as 30 credits, which can be accomplished in 5 semesters (2 courses per semester). If you prefer a slower pace, you can spread out the courses a little more – the program is designed to accommodate your schedule.
