Spring on the York College campus

Physical Education class

Physical Education supports the mission of York College and the Department of Education by creating an environment which promotes the best models of positive, active and healthful living through our programs and services. Students have great benefits at York College when it comes to physical fitness. With our state-of-the-art Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center, they have dance studios, an indoor track, a fitness center, pool, rock climbing wall, racquetball courts, gymnasium and more, which makes physical fitness fun on campus.

Physical well-being is a lifelong commitment — it's our goal in Physical Education to contribute to this by offering a variety of courses to help an individual meet this goal. Note: Physical Education is not a major, but it is a course requirement for all students.

Courses include:

  • Aqua Exercise
  • Pop Jazz Dance
  • Trends in Cardiorespiratory Exercise
  • Introduction to Pilates
  • Intro to Indoor Rock Climbing
