Computer Engineering

Everything from electronic consumer products to computer hardware needs computer engineers to make it work — there’s job demand everywhere you look.

Computer engineers draw upon mathematics, science and computer science to design computer or microprocessor controlled devices, systems and processes. At York College, we focus on embedded systems, which are customized, standalone systems under computer/microprocessor control. You’ll get to work right away with freshmen year design project — learning by doing is how we approach education.

Our program is led by mentoring faculty with terminal degrees and specialty areas of focus. Upon graduation, you’ll have all the skills, knowledge and experience you need to excel in an entry level engineer position or move on to graduate study in engineering.
