Study Abroad Center

Peru. Egypt. Costa Rica. London. The list is as endless as the possibilities for students who want to take their education to an international level.

From short-term trips to full semester excursions, York College students are taking advantage of opportunities to see the world and be immersed in a different culture. We love seeing students come back with stories to tell and experiences to share that improve them academically, emotionally, and professionally.

These eye-opening experiences require commitment, responsibility, independence, attention to detail, and being accepting of different ways of living. Sound like you — or the person you are working on becoming? Then studying abroad is what you need to explore. Faculty and staff can help you identify potential options and get prepared with study abroad information sessions, our spring Around the World Festival, and our fall Global Education Fair. Then it’s on to finding a potential program and applying — with some dreaming big in between.

"My study abroad experience was life changing. I was able to go to places that I had never been and meet people from all over the world. Not only was I able to expand my own experiences and knowledge, but I also was a source of knowledge for them about where I came from. I made friends that I am sure will be lifelong and I have fallen in love with a new country."
