ExCEL Series

Centered on the mantra of “excellence,” the mission of the ExCEL Series is to develop and enhance the leadership skills of YCP students through quality leadership workshops and presentations. Through the Excellence in Creating Extraordinary Leaders (ExCEL) series we hope to foster a community of responsible and dedicated student leaders that will increase the overall quality of involvement and engagement at YCP. The ExCEL Series provides presentations and workshops on topics related to developing leadership skills that students can apply in the classroom and community. Presenters include YCP faculty, staff, alumni, and students, as well as prestigious professionals on the local and national levels.

In a unique partnership, the Office of Student Activities and Orientation, the Career Development Center, the Leadership Development Center, and the Academic Support Center offer these free programs to strengthen and enhance each students’ academic experience at YCP.

Each semester, the ExCEL Series sessions are tailored around the needs of students to encourage personal and professional development.
