Jeff Vermeulen

Biography

Jeff Vermeulen is the Assistant Vice President for External Relations. He is responsible for representing the College’s interests to the region’s business community and public officials, maintaining relationships with City, State, and Federal government leaders. He also helps lead the College’s economic development initiatives, overseeing the work of the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship and special projects at the direction of the President. In addition, he provides staff support for the Trusteeship Committee of the Board.

Before coming to York College in 2010, he spent a year working for the University of South Florida system, helping launch a business incubator system in Polk County, FL.

Prior to his work in higher education, Mr. Vermeulen served as the President of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce in Media, PA and Executive Vice President of the Home Builders Association of Chester & Delaware Counties in Westtown PA.

He is currently an active member of the York County Economic Alliance Board of Directors and the Rotary Club of York County.
He earned a BA, Journalism from Temple University and an MS, Organizational and Strategic Leadership from Neumann University. In his spare time, he enjoys visiting the Cape May County beaches, CrossFit, reading, Philadelphia sports teams, and spending time with his family.

He and his wife Michelle reside in York Township, PA with their 3 children.
