York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for the position of Computer Support Technician. Responsible for provision of maintenance and user support services for York College and York Country Day School computers and peripherals. The position will start February 1st, 2017.
The position diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repair computers and peripherals at York College. Configures and deploys computer equipment. Troubleshoot issues with computer software, printing, and system and administrative tools. Performs hardware and software updates and other maintenance. Collaborate with other Computer Support Analysts for intensive, long-term projects. Support tier 2 service requests for York College and York Country Day School. Provide solutions for support tickets as assigned. Stay current and propose new and changed technologies.
The ideal candidate should have an Associate’s Degree in Information technology or a related field. Technology Certifications in A+, Microsoft, etc. is preferred. Additionally they should be able to support both PC and Mac hardware. They should have knowledge of dynamic technologies and environments including computer systems. Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
