Kim Capezza is the current Ticket Operations Coordinator for the three-time Stanley Cup-winning New Jersey Devils. Noting that self-doubt was always one of her major barriers to success, Capezza is forever grateful for the guidance and encouragement of her YCP professors who helped to boost her confidence. Capezza recalled, "My favorite professors were my Sport Management professors. I felt like each of them cared about me as a person and helped me grow into a young professional. I wouldn't be in the position I am today if it wasn't for their guidance." Capezza also credits her success to the many Sport Management classes, which she explained, "taught me hands-on, practical skills that I've been able to use in real-world situations."
Additionally, Capezza gained real-life experience from her internships with both the Camden Riversharks and the Philadelphia Eagles. All of these factors culminated in Capezza landing a job with the Devils soon after she graduated from YCP with a B.S. in Sport Management. Employment with the Devils had special significance for Capezza as she explained, "I’m originally from New Jersey, so it means a lot to me to be a part of the state's only professional sports team." Capezza's special connection to the organization led her to be an immediate standout.
Consequently, she was promoted after only 10 months on the job, something she described as, "My greatest achievement since graduation." Motivated by her early success, Capezza looks forward to growing with the Devils' organization and seeing what other exciting opportunities life has in store.
