As a recruiter at Google in San Francisco, CA, Ashley Miller helps find potential entrepreneurs that are both inspirational and ambitious. In 2012, Miller received her B.A. in Business Management and, in 2013, her MBA in Business Administration. She was an Orientation Leader during her time at York College and a part of Greek Life as the Membership Director and President of the sorority, Phi Mu. She credits her positive experience at YCP to the people of her sorority and the community at YCP that helped her flourish in her future career as a Google recruiter. Miller said, "YCP provided me with a community of people that motivated me to get out of my comfort zone post-graduation." Her friendships at YCP aided her growth as a person and her career as a recruiter. A friend who works for Google referred her to the company when she was in San Francisco and since then she has been working to share her opportunities with candidates looking to apply at the renowned technology company. Currently, Miller works in People Operations for the Google Marketing Solutions (GMS) department where she helps guide Google applicants through the hiring process. She never believed she would be working for Google, but is thrilled to know the company cares wholeheartedly about its employees and users. She suggests students graduating from YCP and looking for a job not accept the first job offer they come by, but find jobs that will help them succeed in their careers.
