Time on her side

"We all have the same 168 hours in a week; you just have to decide to tell your time where to go."
Brandy Jenkins, management student

“We all have the same 168 hours in a week; you just have to decide to tell your time where to go,” states Management major Brandy Jenkins ’19 (East Berlin, PA), who has successfully juggled being an Independent Future Sales Director in Qualification with Mary Kay, Inc. with a part-time job at Cashman’s Ace Hardware while attending York College. She also has a Human Resources internship with RHI Magnesita. “It has been an awesome learning experience,” she enthuses. “They treat me like I am part of the team.” Her internship, she says, “is definitely leading me into the HR field with a lot of valuable experience.”

Jenkins chose YCP because she knew she could get a great education while still being close enough to home to commute. She loves the small class sizes and says, “I have never, in six semesters, felt that I had a professor who didn’t want to help their students succeed.” Favorite professors include Mary and Chris Meisenhelter and Dave Greisler. She says, “I love having a full schedule,” and adds, “If you make a decision to have a great work ethic, a positive attitude, to eliminate excuses, and you’re willing to be teachable, I believe you can accomplish whatever you want to do!”
