Concord Floral, written by Canadian playwright Jordan Tannahill, takes the audience on a journey to an abandoned greenhouse located in a small town just like ours. What happens when ten suburban teenagers take things a bit too far one night? A body is found. A fox is disturbed. And the dead start calling cell phones. This show contains adult themes and language.
Students in the course THE430: Devised Theatre & Performance worked together on the show to create an exciting visual production using the techniques they have been learning about this semester. Professor Suzanne Delle, a certified Moment Work instructor (a technique created by the Tectonic Theatre Company) and alumni of multiple SITI Company’s Viewpoints trainings with director Anne Bogart, worked with the students to help them collaborate on a script without the hierarchy of directors and designers. The students look forward to inspiring audiences to open their minds to the possibilities of the magic of simple, everyday moments through their work on this show.
