    Celebration Kick-Off Party for Campus Community at 2 p.m.

    Join us as we kick-off the celebration week with Dr. Pamela Gunter-Smith and other notables. Campus community members will participate in activities including a "50" photo opportunity on the campus lawn.

    Join us as we kick off the 50th Anniversary Celebration Week with the York College community. After remarks by President Gunter-Smith, Student Senate President Zac Snier '19, and Senior Class President Hayley Althoff '19, as well as the reading of a proclamation, those attending will be invited to participate in activities including: 

    • Help us create a "50" on Campbell Lawn (participants will receive FREE 50th t-shirts)
    • Sign a commemorative 50th anniversary banner
    • FREE food and refreshments
    • Snap a selfie at a 50th anniversary photobooth
    • Travel through the decades with a 50th anniversary video

    Servire Est Vivere - To Serve is To Live from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Student Union Lobby.

    To honor our motto and veterans, join us for a kick off of the annual collection campaign for Mr. Sandy's Homeless Veterans Center. The collection bin will be located in the Iosue Student Union lobby.

    Items sought include:

    Non-perishable food items: Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, hygiene products, small appliances, clothing, winter coats, gloves, hats, shoes, boots, blankets, sleeping bags

    If you have large items to donate, they will provide pick up in the York area: Furniture (living room, dining room, bedroom), household items, large appliances

    These items can also be donated, please contact the Military Veterans Advisory Council at mvac@ycp.edu: Monetary, gift cards to local grocery stores, bus passes, car fare

    A grand opening will be held to celebrate the new Veterans Lounge on campus and the day will close with "A Career in Service - From York College to the Military" talk by York College's own Maj. Gen. Kurt Ryan '87, Deputy Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Forces Command at 7 p.m. in the Waldner Performing Arts Center. This event is open to the public and admission is free.

    A special luncheon and reunion for those who graduated from York College's predecessor institutions will be held in York College's downtown facilities.
