York College is opening its first downtown retail location in Central Market. “Spartan Central,” a student-run stand developed and executed by Graham Innovation Scholars, will feature spirit items such as apparel, mugs, and a small assortment of college-themed goods.
Written by York Dispatch:
Central Market in downtown York City is about to get a dose of school spirit.
York College students are preparing to open Spartan Central in the historic marketplace in early February.
The student-run business, developed by sophomore members of the Graham Innovation Scholars program, will feature items including apparel, mugs and college-themed goods, according to a news release from the college.
Dominic DelliCarpini, director of the program, said the 20 students involved had conducted an analysis of the market last year and decided they didn't want to leave it at that.
